I think someone just rolled a botch or tried to gnaw on an opponent bigger than she could chew, but I don’t know the rules of this game system.
The real question is what does he do with her? It’s probably not smart to let someone who tried to attack you live freely if they’ve got blackmail material. I don’t have a lot of experience in blackmail type circumstances but the options I can see here include; a binding agreement, enslavement, or a permanent solution.
They both are Deathlords and they both are immortal to such degree that they (probably) can’t get rid of the other permanently. So it seems that they would need to get some kind of agreement because I don’t see Princess Magnificent being enslaved long enough from Silver Prince point of view. He sure could make inescapable prison but sooner or later she would escape, that’s how things for Exalted works if person in question is exalted.
That explains a lot about the setting. So then they hash out some agreement… except at some point one or the other breaks the agreement, leading to more trouble. Cue cynical humourists making frightening jokes about how everybody lives in fear of a bunch of deranged, violent perverts with regular snaps of ADHD behaviour.
Also note that the Princess mentioned the First and Forsaken Lion. The Neverborn made her his slave for screwing up an assignment some centuries ago. She hates him quite a lot as a result. The Lion is pretty much the biggest Badass in the underworld, so the good Bodhisattva would likely not want to mess with him by imprisoning or whatever the Princess. However, he might blackmail her that he could tell the Lion about her sneaking about in other Deathlords’ places without his knowledge… all these possibilities (underworld diplomacy is truly gruesome, by the way)
lol deathlords are so childish
