Contessa is chasing someone without any solid clue of where he is, and following the ‘lead’ of harassing all their common friends looking for him. It’s amazing that plan might actually work considering how bad it is, and I’m pretty sure Contessa knows how bad it is. According to the law of narrative conservation of detail, these tomes will actually matter, so to keep the plot from stalling… these tomes will lead to Bubbles? Or perhaps they won’t but they will otherwise trigger the next scene or act in some other way.
Ah, this is the way that Tome subplot ties in. Somehow.
*Waits for more updates to find out what new spore of madness this theft shall bring.*
