I’m not sure you’re reading it right, I suspect it’s more twisted: Contessa took on Inspector’s face so she could betray the Silver Prince for him (as him). The point is to get the Silver Prince to punish the Inspector for her.
I just discovered this webcomic, and read through it with all the insatiable hunger of oblivion itself. My days of playing Exalted are long behind me, but thank you for reminding me of my love of Creation in all its glorious hopelessness. A setting I only discovered in the first place thanks to another webcomic, Keychain of Creation.
Your main characters and their gigantic extended family are all fantastic, and the drama and tragedies they endure are wrenching. And the Deathlords are all fantastic, slaves to their overwrought passions and obsessions just like ghosts should. I love it.
@Ketch117 I’m glad you’re enjoying the comic (I still miss Keychain, too), we started wanting to depict the fucked up nature of Abyssal love (and why they should never, ever be parents) and it helps scratch that gaming itch for me, even when I don’t have a group. Glorious hopelessness is a great way to describe it.
Too late! All of those guards are dead in about 3 seconds! 4 seconds for the one that dodges reflexively.
12 seconds for that one who is left for last and taunted into horror
